Haridwar and Rishikesh

Haridwar city is situated on the bank of River Ganga. It is a holi place for Hindus and many others. People have a great faith in Ganga at Haridwar. They take a bath at Har ki pauri Haridwar. Har means God Shankar and Pauri means steps or seerhi. Haridwar means hari ka dwar or door. We can enter from the door to the house. Similarly we can enter to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri from the city Hari ka dwar. Here Ganga water is very cold in summer also. Near Haridwar in the middle of hills RishiKesh City is situated. Many Pilgrims visit this place also while visiting Haridwar. Rishikesh means hairs of sants. Many sants stay at Rishikesh and they pass their live there. There are many Ashrams old age people come at last age here. They think they will get moksh from dying there. Many tourists also have keen interest to watch Rishikesh closely. Yoga and other spiritual activities are going on in many Aashrams there. Swarg Aashram, Gita Bhawan, Parmarth Niketan and other are situated near river Ganga at Rishikesh. Ram Jhula bridge on Ganga, and Laxman Jhula Bridge are there in the city Rishikesh. River rafting is a most popular adventurous activity at Rishikesh in Ganga river. Air boat are available in many shops with guide. Many tourists take this opportunity of river rafting at Rishikesh in Ganga River. It is a cold place. So natives as well as foreigners
like Rishikesh to visit.
